Our experience with Paradise Homes EXCEEDED all our expectations. It was the COVID era when my wife and I decided to move to Costa Rica. We had no land, no builder, and had never been to Costa Rica. But while browsing the internet, we ran across a portfolio of gorgeous homes that grabbed our attention. We immediately emailed builder Ben Morris, who was welcoming, supportive and immediately understood our aesthetic. He helped us find an excellent property, providing invaluable advice about locations, neighborhoods, and nearby towns. We bought the land and left the rest to Paradise Homes. They obtained all necessary permits and broke ground in May of 2021. Ben kept in touch daily, sent videos, consulted on all the details that would make the house perfect for us. We finally visited Costa Rica for the first time six months after we broke ground. By then, the house was about 50% complete. Construction quality was excellent. Paradise Homes completed our dream home ahead of time at a fair price. Most important, we were able to trust them to do an excellent job — even though we weren’t there! It didn’t end there. The Paradise team remained hands-on after we moved in — troubleshooting and standing behind their work. Whenever we have a question or need help with red tape, Paradise is there, sharing their 20+ years of experience building in Costa Rica. They are consummate professionals and I would hire them again without hesitation.

The undertaking of buying land and building a home in Costa Rica can be fraught with confusion. Trying to attempt this remotely from halfway across the World can be even more daunting. Add to the mix a dearth of reliable information online, and the obstacles feel monumental. I am speaking first-hand.After buying my land in 2012, I started looking for an architect and builder in 2018. Two false starts later, a friend fortuitously directed me towards Ben Morris and Paradise Homes. From the moment I spoke to Ben I was reassured that I was dealing with someone who was RELIABLE. He promptly visited my building site and gave me an accurate first assessment, and SPECIFIC information as to how to proceed. After the decision was made to begin construction, the build continued almost on autopilot. A complicated process was made simple with very clear steps outlined, explained and diligently communicated by Ben. All government permits and utility hookups were easily arranged, and construction proceeded smoothly with frequent video updates. At specific points, when I had to decide on flooring, cabinetry and paint colours, not only were a myriad of quality choices presented, but also expert advice on what worked aesthetically. As the building neared completion, the emphasis switched to landscaping, meaning I had a fully planted garden at the end of the build and not a barren site.Ben does not simply build a house. He takes a great personal pride in delivering a home built to the highest standard. It is because of that responsiveness, communication, expertise, quality, attention to detail and HONESTY that I can, hands down, happily and unequivocally recommend Ben Morris and Paradise Homes to anyone looking for the best builder in Costa Rica.
