Piña del Oro

Piña del Oro represents one of Paradise Homes Costa Rica’s most comprehensive hospitality developments and an important milestone in the firm’s history. Established in 2015 on approximately 14 acres of mountainside rainforest above Uvita, the project demonstrates PHCR’s ability to take a complex development from raw land through master planning, architecture, infrastructure, construction, and final completion.

Paradise Homes Costa Rica was responsible for the entire development. Our scope began with the master planning and architectural design of the resort and extended through all site development and infrastructure, including internal roads, electrical distribution, and the complete water system.

PHCR then executed the vertical construction of the entire property, including all seven private villas, the restaurant, reception and common areas, staff facilities, service areas, pools, and supporting resort infrastructure.

The master plan was carefully developed around the site’s dramatic topography, positioning the villas throughout the landscape to provide privacy while capturing expansive Pacific Ocean, rainforest, and Whale’s Tail views. Architecture and infrastructure were designed together from the outset, allowing the resort to function operationally while maintaining an intimate relationship with its natural surroundings.

A significant portion of the property was preserved as natural area, reinforcing an approach that has long defined Paradise Homes Costa Rica: thoughtful development that responds to the land rather than overwhelms it.

From the first master plan to the final completed building, Piña del Oro was delivered entirely by Paradise Homes Costa Rica. The project remains a strong example of the firm’s capacity to execute sophisticated turnkey hospitality developments, combining planning, architecture, engineering, infrastructure, construction, and tropical site expertise under one integrated team.
